Springfield, MA – January 2, 2025 – MassMutual Center is proud to announce that its beloved holiday event, Breakfast with Santa, sold out and successfully raised more than $5,500 for the Springfield Boys & Girls Club. The event, which took place on Saturday, December 14, was a heartwarming celebration of the season, bringing the community together for a festive morning of fun and generosity.
“We are absolutely thrilled with the turnout and support for Breakfast with Santa,” said Sean Dolan, General Manager of MassMutual Center. “It’s wonderful to see so many families enjoying the magic of the holiday season while also giving back to a great cause.”
The event, hosted in the MassMutual Center’s Convention Center, treated families to a festive breakfast with Santa Claus, featuring pancakes, scrambled eggs, fruit, and other delightful treats. Oak View Group Hospitality, which oversees the concessions and catering at MassMutual Center, generously donated all the food for the occasion.
General Manager Chris Hayes of OVG Hospitality mentioned, “Oak View Group Hospitality is proud to have played a part in raising money for such a great cause. The Springfield Boys and Girls Club is committed to the betterment of the lives of children in Springfield. Partnering with the MCCA, the MassMutual Center and MGM Springfield to help them achieve this goal is an important part of our commitment to serving the community in which we operate.”
In addition to meeting the Jolly Old Saint Nicholas, guests also received free admission to the 24th Annual Festival of Trees, where they admired over 100 beautifully decorated trees donated by local businesses, organizations, and individuals.
Sunshine Laundry also made a generous contribution by donating all the linens for the tables for the event, ensuring that the venue was beautifully set and ready for guests to enjoy a memorable experience.
“It is so heartwarming to have the MassMutual Center forward the proceeds to the Springfield Boys & Girls Club,” said Springfield Boys & Girls Club Executive Director Vinny Borello. “These proceeds will help us continue to provide children a warm and positive place to go this winter while enjoying the programs that keep them coming daily. Thank you, MassMutual Center and MGM Springfield, for investing in the youth at the Boys & Girls Club.”
With the funds raised, the Springfield Boys & Girls Club will continue to offer essential services and programs that benefit local youth, ensuring they have access to safe spaces, educational opportunities, and enriching activities.
