Convention Services  Return to top
To assist with your event planning, a dedicated convention services coordinator is assigned to each event. This person serves as the main point of contact between the MMC staff and the event planner. In addition to creating an event resume detailing the event schedule, exhibit requirements, room sets, and building service needs, your coordinator will schedule a pre-convention meeting, conduct operational site visits, provide on-site assistance and orchestrate the final invoice.

The Exhibitor Service Center will assist exhibitors with the coordination of their service orders. The Exhibitor Service Representative is the exhibitor's point of contact for any questions or information requests about the MMC. A Exhibitor Service Desk is located in the General Contractor's service area. Technical and Utility Services  Return to top
The MMC offers an advanced user-support system of technical services so your event can take advantage of the latest tools and technologies. These include state-of-the-art connectivity, with data and telecom services conveniently accessed from floor boxes located conveniently throughout the Exhibition Halls. Additionally, temporary services and special requests can often be accommodated via use of the integrated spare conduit network throughout the show floor.

Utilities

Power, Data, AV, Floor Boxes:

  • 30’ X 30’ on center (general pattern with limited exceptions)
  • 100 amp 120/ 208V 3-phase pin and sleeve with two (2) sub fed 30 amp 120/ 208V, 3-phase, twist lock NEMA L21-30R receptacles
  • (8) - category 6 telecommunications cables
  • (1) - 2 Strand Multi-Mode Optical Fibers
  • Additional 200amp and 400amp show power disconnects (3-phase, five wire) are accessible from the both the East and South walls of Exhibit Hall B

The following are located in select floor boxes and at various perimeter locations in the Exhibition Halls

  • (2) – XLR Microphone jacks tied into integrated audio system
  • (2) - RG-6 Broadband 18 Ga. Cable at select floor box locations
  • (2) - RG59U Coax 20 AWG Video Cable at select floor box locations

Water, Waste Water Drain, and Compressed Air:

  • 30’ X 30’ on center (general pattern with limited exceptions)
  • 3/4" Non-potable water and 3" waste water drain
  • Compressed air to select locations via floor conduit network

The MMC features the on-site services of a Emergency Medical Technician. We will be happy to provide additional support depending upon the special requirements of your event.


Food & Beverage Services  Return to top
The Boston Culinary Group's services can provide catering or banquet services to any location in the convention center. Our sales department will guide you through meeting room and exhibit hall catering options as well as receptions and seated banquets. Whether you require service for 10 or 1,000, we have what you need. Choose from our vast array of preset menu selections or let our chef tailor a menu to suit your individual needs. The Catering Menu includes the following:

  • Continental Breakfasts
  • Breakfast Plates
  • Breakfast Buffets
  • Luncheon Table Service
  • Sandwich Menu, Seated or Buffet
  • Lunch and Dinner Buffets
  • Plated Dinner
  • Cocktail Party Centerpieces
  • Hot and Cold Hors D'oeuvres
  • Bar Service

During the planning stages, a Boston Culinary Groups representative will contact you directly to determine your food and beverage requirements. Any questions regarding food and beverage should be directed to the Banquet Manager, Boston Culinary Group.

The MMC offers complete Audio/Visual services.


Security Services  Return to top
The MMC provides a security team of officers for access control and floor patrol for the entire building. This team is also trained in emergency response for fire, medical, crowd control, and to identify safety hazard or public safety related violations.The MMC offers uniformed security guards for any exhibitor wishing to order the service for their exhibit booth.


Cleaning Services  Return to top
The MMC offers complete and professional cleaning services before, during and after every event and function held at the facility. Public areas are meticulously maintained on a complimentary basis. Efficient and economical services for individual exhibitors and special event areas are available on-site and can be pre-ordered, including daily cleaning and porter services.
